No. 24 of Our 52 Prints Project are here!

For this week's print we really stepped out of our comfort zone and took the opportunity to try a new style of illustration. The subject matter of the print was something we feel very comfortable with - vintage Americana road and motel signs. We've referenced these a lot in our work but the style in which we've approached this week's print is very different.

We wanted to try a very bold outline stroke which doesn't seem like something that would cause so much back and forth and indecision from us, but lemme tell ya, it really did.

But we stuck to our guns and gave something new a try - which is something that our 52 Prints Project is all about - and we're so glad we did. It's a departure for us but we're so happy with the result. We're not sure if the style is something we'll look at more but it's great to push yourselves into uncomfortable territory sometimes and try new things, so here is print No. 24 - Motel.
